Visiting Blackfeet Indian Reservation

When I decided to travel to Montana, I wanted to visit the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. It's located east of Glacier National Park and occupies more than 1.5 million acres of land (larger than the state of Delaware).

The landscape of the reservation is stunning. You can see for miles across the sacred land that back's up to the beautiful mountains of Glacier National Park.

Established by the Treaty of 1855. The reservation is part of what was once a much larger land base for the Tribe extending southward along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains to the Yellowstone River and northward to the North Saskatchewan River in Canada.

It was a great experience to see a reservation and to talk to the people in local shops.
