A River really does run through it
Visiting Missoula has been on my bucket list for more than 20 years. I became interested in this area of Montana after watching, "A River Runs Through It" about 10 times in a row.
So when I decided to plan this trip I knew there where three things I had to do, no matter what! 1. Watch the sunrise at Logan Pass at Glacier National Park 2. Experience the Geysers at Yellowstone National Park 3. Visit Blackfoot River in Missoula, Montana.
Since I started fly fishing in 2000, I knew this would be a bucket list item I had to complete. So on the way to Glacier I found a patch of the river that looked like heaven. I pulled my little rental car off to the side on a narrow dirt road and got my fly rod out. I sat there for about 45 minutes and enjoyed the scenery as I had always hoped to do. Even though I didn't catch anything, I'm thrilled to have crossed this off my list and also looking forward to more fly fishing in Montana and Wyoming.
Now the journey to Glacier National Park!
