Is the lake really Salty?
After a long flight from DC -> DEN and DEN -> STL, I finally arrived in a beautiful city founded at the base of a salty lake.
Surrounded by intense yellow mountains, I quickly found an Uber, dragged my 127lbs of gear (god damn this shit is heavy) and made my way to my first Airbnb.
When I walked in the door a GIANT great dane came and greeted me. I immediately smiled because up until this point I have never actually seen a great dane up close. His owners Jill and Jack (I almost didn't believe it either) came running up the stairs not knowing if I was a dog person. I quickly told them about my little fury friend Ollie, and they looked relieved.
I dropped my bags in a moderately sized room with a fan (YES!) and heard Jill yell, "Do you want a PBR?" OMG YES!!! I think I drank it in less than a minute.
After talking to Jill for a bit more, I decided to call it a night.
The saying that "you get what you pay for" couldn't be more true in this situation. The house was pretty much in the middle of renovations, but I made the best of it.
Big day tomorrow! Driving 7 hrs to Missoula, Montana. #bucketlist
